This year Mariemont celebrates the 75th anniversary of its incorporation as a village- an important milestone for the community that was the culmination of Mary Emery’s dream. Mariemont 75: The Dream Continues is a means to share history of the village and to communicate important information about the upcoming festivities.

The annual fireworks show will be on Friday, July 4th. The fireworks will be combined with patriotic music from the Carillon performed by Richard Gegner. Pleasant Street will be closed from Wooster Pike to Mariemont Avenue, beginning at 9:00 p.m. Everyone is asked to walk to the park. If you must drive, please park in the Dale Park school parking lot. There are to be no alcoholic beverages at the event. Residents should not bring fireworks of any kind.
The fireworks display cost $4500. We have a good start at off-setting that cost with a donation from the Mariemont Civic Association of $1000. However, we still need help of our citizens. Any amount you would like to donate would be appreciated and can be mailed to the Village office at 6907 Wooster Pike, Mariemont, OH 45227.
The Mariemont Town Crier is published eight times a year and is full of interesting articles about people, places, and events in the Village of Mariemont. We are currently on hiatus for the summer, and will return with our September issue. If you have any story ideas, be sure to let us know! Email the editor at: indy3844@aol.com.
The Town Crier was started in 1975 as a way to keep residents informed about activities in the community. The staff is made up of volunteers who live in Mariemont, and the paper is delivered free of charge to over 2000 residences and businesses in the Village of Mariemont, Spring Hill, Williams Meadow, and Mariemont Landing.
Ideas for articles are always welcome. Just email Claire Kupferle, Editor, at indy3844@aol.com with your comments or suggestions. You may also contact the Editor if you are interested in placing an ad. Ad rates start at $20.
Inserts can be placed in each issue if they are from a non-profit group based in Mariemont. Cost for an insert is $50. The full amount goes directly to the area children who deliver the Town Criers.
