Mariemont Town Meeting is a non-partisan, not-for-profit political action committee or PAC, established around the time the Village was incorporated in 1941.
The purpose of Town Meeting is to support the village’s citizens and government by facilitating a mechanism through which candidates for elected municipal offices are identified, introduced to voters, and nominated for election. Town Meeting is usually held in early March.
The Town Meeting forum and nomination process is a valued and time-tested aspect of Mariemont’s political tradition. Town Meeting anticipates, but does not replace or duplicate, the Ohio municipal election process for the village. Candidates for elected office are permitted to run – and have run in several past elections – without being the Town Meeting nominee.
