UNDER 16

  • Permit and ID card in possession
  • Accompanied by Sober and licensed – Parent, Guardian, Instructor, Person acting as Parent
  • Midnight to 6 AM prohibited without above (4507.05 F2)
  • All occupants in a seat and properly restrained.

OVER 16 (PRIOR TO HAVING PERMIT FOR 6 MONTHS)

  • Permit and ID card in possession
  • Accompanied by Sober and licensed – 21 year old
  • Midnight to 6 AM prohibited without – Parent, Guardian (4507.05 F2)

FOR 16 YEAR OLDS WITH A PERMIT FOR LONGER THAN 6 MONTHS

UNDER 17 (4507.071 B1a)

  • Midnight to 6 AM prohibited without – Parent, Guardian, unless school function or work with documentation in possession.

UNDER 17 (4507.071 B4)

  • Only 1 non-family passenger unless accompanied by parent / guardian

OVER 17 (4507.071 B1b)

  • 1AM to 5AM prohibited without – Parent, Guardian, unless school function or work with documentation in possession

OVER 17 (4507.071 D2)

  • Under 16 and a half, prior moving violation conviction date during 1st 6 months of OL, must drive with parent/guardian for 6 months.
  • 16 and a half to 17, prior moving violation conviction date during 1st 6 months of OL, must drive with parent/guardian until 17.

 All occupants in a seat belt and in a seat (not sharing seat).

Children under 16 and over 4 must be restrained in a seat belt, or child restraint if applicable.
