Richard E. Van Pelt Lieutenant

Rick began his law enforcement career as a patrolman with the Village of Mariemont in 1980. He was promoted to the rank of lieutenant on October 14, 2001, and is presently the supervisor for third shift. Lt. Van Pelt served in the U.S. Marine Corps prior to becoming a police officer.

Rick is married to wife, Joanee. Three sons keep them busy, but in his spare time, Rick enjoys restoring classic cars and coaching his youngest son’s football team.
